OBITUARY
George Howard Reith
July 22, 1945 — October 6, 2023
Churchville

G. Howard Reith, age 78, of Churchville, Maryland passed away on October 6, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Bel Air, he was the son of Earl William and Marie (Howard) Reith. Howard was a member of the Maryland State Police Alumni Association and Calvary Baptist Church. He retired from the Maryland State Police after serving as a Trooper First Class for 25 years.

He then worked at the Harford County District Courthouse for 10 years as a bailiff. He finished his law enforcement career by working as a civilian at the Southern Precinct for the Harford County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed collecting police memorabilia, creating train gardens and completing word search puzzles.

Howard is survived by his wife Nancy F. Reith; son, Eric V. Reith (Marsha); daughter, Megan F. Reith; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Reith, Matthew Reith, and Madison Reith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earl “Bill” Reith, Jr..
