MSP Alumni (Organizational) License Plates

The Maryland State Police Alumni Association helps active and retired members obtain MSPAA Organizational License Plates (MSPAA Alumni Tags). Members are eligible to get license plates through the Maryland State Police Alumni Association. We are committed to our members and strive to make applying, processing, and obtaining the plates as quick and convenient as possible. We will guide you through the process and give you the resources and information you need.

How to Get MSPAA Organizational License Plates (MSPAA Alumni Tags) in Maryland. MSPAA Organizational License Plates are offered for Class A and E vehicles. We do not offer tags for Class M / motorcycles. Here’s how you can attain yours:

  • Meet our membership eligibility requirements; and if eligible, proceed. You must be a current member in good standing with no outstanding dues.
  • Request an application.
  • Submit the application to MSPAA to process with the MVA with the below items.
  • Provide a readable copy of a vehicle title, permanent tag, or temporary tag proving full or co-ownership of your vehicle.
  • Pay a $45 administrative fee to the MSPAA. This includes the Maryland MVA fees.
  • Collect your tags at the MVA in Glen Burnie, or have the MVA mail them to you.

IMPORTANT: A lapse in MSPAA membership dues can lead to the suspension of or inability to renew the MSPAA Organizational License Plates (registration). You must remain a member to enjoy using the tags.
