Dear MSPAA, friends, and family,
As we conclude our Annual Memorial Retreat in Ocean City, Maryland, I want to thank each of you for your attendance and participation to this special event. This year we honored our 46 MSP Fallen Heroes, which included our two veterans that were killed during WWII. We held our memorial program on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, to honor 47 members of the department that sadly passed away this past year due to a medical condition or accident. We paid tribute to each life by reciting their name and reminiscing about their career and personality. This is a special event that we host annually. Please know that it is not a time for banter, jokes, or politics. It is about our fallen and their sacrifice. We will never forget.
As the sun rises over the most eastern part of our beautiful state, I thank you all for the many blessings that you contribute to us everyday. It is with your support that we continue to strive for Integrity, Fairness, and Service.
Thank you to our Maryland State Police Superintendent and the Eastern Region Command for supporting the Alumni Association and this event.
Cordially,
Jeannie Mastronardi
President, Maryland State Police Alumni Association
