MDSP Fallen Heroes Ceremony – 2026

The Maryland Department of State Police will host our annual Fallen Heroes Ceremony on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11 a.m.. MDSP retirees and guests are invited to attend this special memorial ceremony which will be held at the Maryland State Police Memorial in the quadrangle of the Headquarters complex. 1201 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208

Please come and show support to the families of our Fallen, show respect to their service and sacrifice, and reunite with fellow retirees.

The Maryland State Police Alumni Association will provide a commemorative to each family attending to honor our fallen heroes. 

The ceremony will honor the 43 state troopers who made the ultimate sacrifice serving in Maryland, along with two troopers killed while serving on active duty in World War II and one fallen deputy chief state fire marshal. 

Speakers will include Colonel Michael A. Jackson, Superintendent, Maryland Department of State Police.

In addition to the families of Fallen Heroes, current and retired state troopers and deputy state fire marshals will be in attendance to honor their fellow troopers and deputy.

The Maryland State Police Museum will also be open for everyone to enjoy. The museum is located in the stone building at the rear of the Headquarters complex. Come see new displays and wall murals during your visit at Headquarters. The Museum will be open for visitors from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m..
