Deputy First Class Glenn Hilliard, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

On behalf of the Maryland State Police Alumni Association, we pay honor and respect to a Fallen Hero, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Deputy First Class Glenn Hilliard, 41 years of age.

Deputy Hilliard was shot and killed in the line of duty on Sunday, June 12, 2022, while attempting to effect an arrest of a subject wanted for several felony warrants. Deputy Hilliard is the second Wicomico County Deputy killed in the line of duty since 1968. He is survived by his wife, three children, MSP family, and an extended law enforcement family.

As a law enforcement organization, we grieve with the family, friends, and coworkers that are impacted by this terrible tragedy. Yet, we are united to support them every step moving forward.
