OBITUARY
Robert Francis “Bob” Eveland, 87, of Dunkirk, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Born on July 26, 1938, in Queen Anne, Maryland, Bob was the son of Robert and Virginia Eveland, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Brigitte Eveland, of Munich, Germany; his daughter Kendall Eveland of Kent Island, Maryland; grandsons Justin Quesenberry of Tacoma, Washington, and Lance Quesenberry of Owings, Maryland; and great-granddaughter Lily Quesenberry. He was preceded in death by his son Robert “Bobby” Browning and grandson Christopher Browning, both of whom he thought of often.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962, and later dedicated many years to the Maryland State Police before retiring. After leaving the police force, he continued his hardworking life with Clark Construction Company in Washington, D.C., where he was instrumental in the building of RFK Stadium for the Washington Redskins.
A true motor sports enthusiast, Bob spent time as a speedboat racing driver. His love for racing extended to motocross, where he cherished the time he spent supporting and working alongside Bobby at events. He could often be found working in his garage, solving problems with his hands and enjoying the satisfaction of fixing and building.
Bob had a gift for storytelling and never missed a chance to share a joke, sometimes a little naughty, bringing laughter to those around him. Bob will be remembered for his steady nature, his work ethic, and the way he lived life on his own terms. His legacy lives on in the stories he told, the work he accomplished, the friendships he cherished, and the countless lives he touched.
