Death Notification – TFC Francis Steven Bryan, MDSP Retired.

We regret to inform you of the recent passing of Retired TFC. Francis Steve Bryan, of Easton, Md. TFC. Bryan worked a large part of his career assigned to the Easton Barrack and the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division.

OBITUARY

Francis Steven Bryan, 77, of Easton, MD passed away on July 20, 2025, at his home.

He was born December 8, 1947, at Easton Memorial Hospital to the late Norman and Louise (Stevens) Bryan and grew up in Oxford, Md. After graduating from Easton High School in June of 1965, Steve entered the United States Air Force in May of 1967 where he served his country until May of 1971. Upon his discharge in May 1971, Steve then entered the Maryland State Police where he served until his retirement in 1994. Steve Bryan still holds the Maryland State Police marksmanship record upon his MSP Academy graduation in 1971 with 1396 points out of a possible 1400.

Steve met the love of his life, Sandra Howze in 1971 whom he later married in 1972. Together they created a life on the Eastern Shore raising their two boys, Matt and Jake. They lived in Royal Oak, MD. until moving to Easton, MD. in 1992.

Steve is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra Bryan and his parents, Norman and Louise Bryan. He is survived by his children, Matt (Heather) of Preston and Jake (Amber) of Easton, and grandchildren, Haley, Hunter, Ashlynn and Asher.

SERVICES

Services will be held from 2pm-4pm on Saturday July 26, 2025, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 200 S. Harrison St. Easton, MD. At 3pm Steve’s sons will give eulogies. After that friends and family may share stories about Steve.
