OBITUARY
Otto Edward Artfitch
May 14, 1944 – July 8, 2023
Otto Edward Artfitch, Sr., 79, of Oldtown, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born May 14, 1944, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Otto Andrew Artfitch and Irene D. (Ruddy) Artfitch.

Mr. Artfitch was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He then worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C in the Fingerprint Division. He joined the Maryland State Police until he retired in 2004 after 38 years of dedicated service.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Marianne T. (Zdanoski) Artfitch; children, Otto E. Artfitch, Jr. and wife Kinsey, South Carolina, and Deirdre Dickson and husband David C. Dickson, III, Florida; a very special grandson, Sgt. Brock Otto Artfitch of the Michigan State Police, and his wife, Hannah; Tyler E. Artfitch and wife Erin, North Carolina. 4 additional grandchildren Gunnar, Remington, Colton, and Dustin; and 2 great-granddaughters Catalina and London. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Martarano and husband Angelo; his aunt, Elizabeth “Betty” Ruddy; and a niece and nephew.

VISITATION / SERVICE
Friends will be received at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1601 Frederick Street, Cumberland, Maryland 21502, on August 25th from 11 AM to Noon.

A memorial service will follow in the church, with Rev. David Wright, officiating.
