OBITUARY

“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Earl Page, affectionately known by many as Stevie, the third child of eleven and the oldest son of the late Earl Page and Dorothy Williams Page, entered eternal rest on Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, after a brief illness.

Earl grew up in Catonsville, Maryland, where his roots of faith, family, and service began. A proud graduate of the Maryland State Police Academy, January 1974, he began his distinguished career at Barrack “B” in Frederick, Maryland, eventually making Frederick his lifelong home. For 26 years, Earl honorably served as one of Maryland’s Finest, earning the respect of his peers and the gratitude of his community. Following his retirement from the State Police, he continued his commitment to justice and public service as a Bailiff for the District Court of Maryland—a role in which his commanding yet kind presence was best known by his familiar call, “All rise.”

Earl was a true family man, devoted to making life better for others in every way he could. He was deeply committed to his faith and his church family at Asbury United Methodist Church, where he served faithfully on the Trustee Board, Finance Committee, and with the United Methodist Men and Men Who Care ministries. He also shared his love of music as a member of both the men’s and church choirs. A man of distinction, integrity, and compassion, Earl was always ready to lend a helping hand—offering legal advice, words of wisdom, or simply a gentle smile. He never looked down on anyone and believed in lifting others up.

Earl was a loving and devoted husband to his beloved wife, Faye, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. He was a proud and caring father to Earl Page II “Trey” and his wife, Mandi, and to Lauren and her husband, Andre. Earl and Faye lovingly raised their granddaughter, Gabriella Page, as their own following her mother’s passing. He cherished all of his grandchildren—Jade and her husband Jacob, Gabriella, Sariah, Laniah, Kholten, and Oden—each holding a special place in his heart, as well as his great-granddaughter, Olivia Jade. He also cared for his three step-grandchildren, Dominic, Amoura, and August.

He is also survived by six of his siblings: Susan, Jacqueline (Courtland), Stephanie (Billy), Ann, Kathy, and Samuel; and four beloved Goddaughters, Whitney, Monique, Janelle, and Rhaine. He was blessed with the mentorship and friendship of two men he greatly admired, fellow parishioner Floyd Brown and LT. Bob MCAfee. His life touched countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him for his strength, humor, and steadfast faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his: sister, Lenora; and brothers, William, Charles, and Kevin.

What twists and turns this life brings—only God knows why the journey can be so hard to bear. Yet we rejoice, knowing that Earl’s celebration of life is now eternal. As we reflect on his journey as a son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, Godfather, and friend, we can imagine the joyful reunion he now enjoys in Heaven with his parents, sister, and brothers. Stevie, as he was so affectionately known, has made it over and now sings in the heavenly choir—free from pain, resting in peace, and surrounded by God’s everlasting love.

“If it had not been for the Lord on our side, where would we be?”
Life is fragile. We never know when the Lord will call us home.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Kline Hospice House for their compassionate care and kindness during Earl’s final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kline Hospice House in Earl’s memory.
