It is with a heavy heart that we report the recent passing of Frances Phillips, surviving widow of the late Retired F/Sgt. Henry “Hank” Phillips of Easton, MD. Mrs. Phillips passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 77.

OBITUARY
Naomi Frances “Fran” Phillips, born September 24, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, was the daughter of the late Oscar Moeller and Mary Moeller.
Fran attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1966. She continued her education at beautician school in Baltimore, graduating in 1967. She began her career as a beautician at Susan’s of Talbot.
On August 18, 1967, Fran married Henry “Hank” Phillips. Together they first made their home in Sharptown, Maryland, and later settled in Easton.
In 1984, Fran began working as a hairdresser at William Hill Manor. In 1987, she and Hank opened the Corner Carryout, which Fran managed for five years before returning to her position at William Hill Manor. She continued her career as a hairdresser until her retirement, after which she pursued her hobby of quilting.
Fran was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hank.
She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Phillips and his wife, Jennifer, and Jeffrey Phillips; three granddaughters, Rachel Brubaker and her husband, Peter, Brooke Phillips, and Veronica Phillips; and two great-grandchildren, Greyson and Ruby. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Brotman and her husband, Dennis. Theresa Rainey and her husband, Randy, as well as extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
