It is great sadness to report the loss of our MSPAA board member and MTA member, Retired Lt. Ken Harry of Hampstead, Md. Ken passed away this evening (7/15/2025) surrounded by family at the Dove House in Westminster, Md. Ken heroically fought a battle with health issues for several years. I can say that he beat all odds and won his place in heaven with some of our Maryland’s Finest.

OBITUARY
Kenneth R. Harry passed away on July 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Janet Harry (nee Mason) and devoted father of Jeannine Chatham and her husband John, and K. Steven Harry. Loving grandfather of Lauren Hein and her husband Derek, Lindsay Chatham, and Alexa “Lexy” Chatham. Great-grandfather of Ellison and Jack Hein and brother-in-law of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald Mason and Dr. and Mrs. Terry Mason. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents Charles O. and Rachel Harry and his brothers Charles (Doris), Wilbur (Virginia), and Robert (Bee).
Lt. Kenneth Harry served honorably in the Maryland State Police for over 30 years. He was a proud member of the Maryland State Police Alumni Association and he served as its Treasurer for 18 years.
Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home 11824 Reisterstown Road Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Sunday July 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the Reisterstown United Methodist Church 246 Main Street Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Monday July 21st at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Lakeview Memorial Park
