OBITUARY
Jillian “Jill” Watts, 73, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Jill was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn (Findley) Snyder. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to Jordan V. Watts, Jr.
Jill dedicated over four decades of her life to serving with the State Police, where she began her career as a PCO on January 16, 1970, and rose through the ranks to retire as a Systems Control Officer on June 1, 2013.
Outside of her professional life, Jill was a passionate birder, often embarking on birding adventures to witness the beauty of nature. She was a talented artist, finding joy in drawing, painting, and crafting, and was an active member of card-making groups. Jill also had a deep love for travel, especially with her family, and was a dedicated fan of the Baltimore Orioles. She enjoyed reading and belonged to the community book club.
Jill’s memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Jordan; her sons, Jordan V. (Amy) Watts III, David Lewis (Heather) Watts, and Robert Edward Watts and his significant other, Maggie Gibbs; and her grandchildren, Lucas, Ryan, Austin, and Matthew Watts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Jill’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
