It is with great sadness that we report the loss of one of our finest. Retired Captain Charles “Chuck” Shue, age 82, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 after a lengthy illness.
OBITUARY
Charles “Charlie or Chuck” Shue succumbed to the effects of Parkinson disease on March 23, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born, December 23, 1942, to the late Wilmer and Kitty Shue. After graduating from Annapolis High School, he went to Frostburg College. Then he found his passion of becoming a Maryland State Trooper and served with them for 31 years.
While his family was important to him, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crabbing for many years. He also enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife Joyce and 2 children. Mary (Scott) Broerman and Chris McCallister also seven grandchildren; Annalise Broerman, Karoline Broerman, Benjamin Broerman, Charlie Broerman, Anna McCallister, Lily McCallister, and Kate McCallister.
SERVICES
According to his wishes he was cremated. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 7. 2025 at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis MD 21401 beginning at 11 am. Following the ceremony, guests may visit until 2 pm.
