We regret to inform you of the death of 1st. Lieutenant David A. Lauder, MDSP, Retired.
1st. Lieutenant David A. Lauder passed away at his daughters home in Hanover, PA on January 27, 2022, he was 99 years old.
1st. Lieutenant David A. Lauder’s career spanned 28 years beginning in 1947 until he retired in 1976. He went to work for the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, MD, in 1977 and retired as a Lieutenant in their Security Police force in 1993.
He loved meeting with all the “young fellas,” (many that he taught at the Police Academy in Pikesville), at the various MSPAA retiree functions, and was very proud to be the oldest member.
He goes on to heaven to be with his wife Marie of 71 years and is survived by his two daughters, Victoria Kirmse (Buddy) of Dundalk, MD and Debra Darchicourt (David) of Hanover, PA and his four grandchildren, Jonathan Rusk, Jessica Roop, Joshua Darchicourt , Aaron Kirmse, and his two great grandchildren Alyssa Rusk and Benjamin Roop.
A viewing will be held at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD, 21157 on Thursday, February 3rd from 2 pm-4 pm. and 6 pm-8 pm. The funeral will be held on February 4th at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Internment will follow at the Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Middle River, MD.
