Over the past eighteen months, our State Retirees have been faced with the loss of their State Prescription Plan.This program was offered to the employee groups over a half century ago as a benefit for Stare employment.
Some of our most senior retirees, now in their late eighties were devastated by the loss of their benefit. Without hesitation, Retired Lieutenant Don McCord gave his time, talents, and expertise in the transition to the new normal.
Don testified in court, met with representatives, and was part of a focus group to represent the Maryland State Police Alumni Association.
Don personally spent hours in person and on the telephone with our retirees to help them navigate into new plans.
We recognize the exceptional service and dedication to our State Police retirees.
